Another weekend of EPL action is upon us and James Kempton is here to be our voice of reason. The biggest news of the week came at Stamford Bridge where the defending champions sacked their manager Jose Mourinho. It will be interesting to see if this sparks a Chelsea side that continues to flounder at the bottom of the table Listen to the EPL Podcast Read this week’s Goal Rush column Chelsea v Sunderland Chelsea -1.5 and 2.75 goals Chelsea won this meeting of the sides 3-1 back in May but they have only covered over a minus one goal line in three of the last ten meetings. Over 2.5 goals is 12-2 in the last 14 EPL meets so my initial thoughts that this 2.75 goal line was priced too high may be misguided. Both of these teams have let me down often of late so I’m staying well clear of this game especially with the new found managerial uncertainty as well. Everton v Leicester City Everton -0.5 and 2.75 goals Two 2-2 draws between the sides last season and nothing we have seen so far this campaign makes us think this will be a low scoring game. If we start believing in the Leicester fairytale is that when it will all end? Nothing we have seen so far suggests it will stop and I don’t know why the bookmakers think this untrustworthy Everton side will be the team to stop them. Over 2.5 goals is a combined 21-11 this season for the teams. Away dog and overs for me. Manchester United v Norwich City Man Utd -1 and 2.5 goals The sides have met four times at Old Trafford since October 2011 (including one FA Cup game) and United have outscored the...

Another week of Premier League action is upon us and an unusual fixture dominates the weekend schedule on Monday night. To add logic and reason to the topsy turvy EPL climate is our very own insider James Kempton Looking for goals this weekend? Read his Goal Rush Column Seeking more in depth EPL analysis? Listen to his podcast Norwich City v Everton Pk and 2.5 goals The sides have met six time since December 2011 in EPL action and Yes on BTTS has gone 5-1 with four games ending all square and the away team winning none of the six. I can’t bet in this match market but I would lean towards Everton on a Pk line. If you think Everton will win the game then the over 2.5 goals bet would be the side to take in the goals market given the propensity of the Yes on BTTS to land. Crystal Palace v Southampton Pk and 2.25 goals I’m surprised to see Palace not installed as a favourite here but their home form has been consistently shaky this campaign. Southampton have won all four meetings of the sides in EPL action since September 2013 but they were made to struggle last Saturday at home by Villa. I do lean to the home team though on this line and am not put off betting the half time draw which has proved to be an ATM for backers this season in Palace games. Manchester City v Swansea City Man City -1.5 and 3 goals City have won the last four meetings of the sides and have scored at least twice (12 goals in total) in each of those games. City was without the spine of their team, Kompany, Toure and Aguerro all missing last week...

The EPL season continues to fly by and for anyone late to the party this year’s table has a few unfamiliar names at the top. James Kempton is here to provide a little reason in this topsy turvy season in the Premier League. Looking for more information on European domestic soccer? Read Jimmy’s Goal Rush column Stoke City v Manchester City Manchester City -0.75 and 2.75 goals After losing in January 2009 1-0 City have gone six games unbeaten at the Brittania but five of those were draws before last season’s 4-1 win. That game however was the only one of their 14 EPL meetings that saw four or more goals. Under 2.5 goals is 6-1 in the teams’ meetings in Stoke so I will take the unders here to repeat in what will be a tough game for the title contenders. The spine of Man City’s team all ruled out for tomorrow’s trip to Stoke. Buyer Beware! — JimmyK (@ukbettingpro) December 4, 2015 Arsenal v Sunderland Arsenal -1.75 and 3 goals Arsenal are unbeaten in the last eleven meetings of the two teams but Sunderland frustrated the Gunners in May with the game finishing goalless in North London. In fact under 2.5 goals is 5-2 in the last seven meetings of the teams in the capital city. With players falling down injured at every turn, The Emirates currently resembles a scene from Platoon. Arsenal just need to win games and if that means winning ugly then so be it. I lean to the under here but I can’t get involved in a tricky looking match line. Manchester United v West Ham United Manchester United -1.25 and 2.5 goals West Ham have already won at Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Liverpool and Manchester City this season,...

A full weekend of EPL action is on the docket and James Kempton is here to give you all his gambling thoughts. Aston Villa v Watford Pk and 2.25 goals The big question going into this game is how on earth are Aston Villa going to score a goal? This issue will not be helped by the benching of young Jack Grealish for his off field indiscretions as he is one of the few creative players that Villa possess. The Hornets will look to keep it tight early and play on the nervousness of the home crowd so I will take a piece of the under 2.25 goals. AFC Bournemouth v Everton Pk and 2.5 goals A pal of mine, Big Dave, is a staunch Everton fan and is convinced they will be a top four team in the near future. I think that is a bit over the top but they have certainly improved greatly of late. Their 4-0 win last Saturday over Aston Villa was just their first clean sheet in seven games but against that awful Villa forward line does that clean sheet even count? On a Pk line I can’t back Everton but I do lean towards the overs on the goal line. Crystal Palace v Newcastle United Crystal Palace -0.75 and 2.5 goals What a difference a year makes in football for Alan Pardew’s Eagles, hosting Newcastle and their under fire head coach Steve McLaren. Pardew left Palace last Christmas and the teams have been on opposite trajectories ever since. Both of last seasons’ meetings ended all square and in 2013-14 the Magpies did a double to nil but much of this was Pardew inspired. At minus three quarters of a goal I lean to the home team but...

After a prolonged international break and well received rest, our EPL resident handicapper James Kempton is back with complete fixture analysis for the weekend. If you’re not already reading his weekly goal rush column, it’s pure gold and should be a must read for every football fan Watford v Manchester United Manchester United -0.5 and 2.25 goals Watford have struggled to find the net on home soil as they’ve scored just three times at Vicarage Road this campaign. They have only conceded four goals though so against this defend first United team it looks set to be a tight low scoring game. I like the away team to do enough and lean towards the unders in this one. United 1-0 anyone? Chelsea v Norwich City Chelsea -1.25 and 2.75 goals Perhaps some time away from the Bridge for many of the Chelsea players could help the mood of the camp? Last time the International Break came it seemed to work as they returned home and beat Aston Villa 2-0. In view of that I will not put anyone off backing the home favourite but I prefer the over. Forty three goals in the teams’ combined six home and away games respectively makes me take the over even though it is set at the 2.75 level. Everton v Aston Villa Everton -1 and 2.75 goals Sixteen of the last seventeen EPL meets of the sides have seen at least two goals with over 2.5 goals going 11-6. Villa will obviously look to keep this game tight early on as they did against Man City and make Everton work hard for their opportunities. I tentatively lean to the away dog although Villa may attempt to frustrate the long term trends suggest the value is on the...

It’s not another week in the EPL until you’ve read the complete analysis from our resident handicapper UKBettingPro. Every fixture, every week…right here for your reading pleasure Click here to listen to the EPL podcast Bournemouth v Newcastle United Bournemouth -0.25 and 2.75 goals The Cherries are slowly slipping down the league and a loss here will send them into the relegation zone. Newcastle have scored one goal on the road in five games and taken just one point so it is a brave man who sides with the away team in this tricky looking match up. The under 2.75 goal line is intriguing as the home team have a few attacking injuries and the away team have a limited scoring threat. Leicester City v Watford Leicester -0.75 and 2.75 goals Two teams, who to be honest I was not high on at the beginning of the season, meet here and both look to extend their good runs. I side tentatively with the home team on the match line but at -0.75 I see no real value. You have to consider though that Leicester have won thirteen of their last twenty EPL games and their two losses were only at the hands of Arsenal and Chelsea. A truly incredible run! Manchester United v West Bromwich Albion Manchester United -1.5 and 2.5 goals The Baggies won 1-0 the last time these sides met at Old Trafford back in May (and 2-1 the season before) but I sense it’ll be the other way round this time. United shut Crystal Palace out last Saturday and they weathered a heavy storm to do so. There have only been eight goals scored in five EPL games at Old Trafford this season, just one conceded by the Red Devils. It’s...

If you’re not already following him on twitter for all his soccer knowledge across all leagues that can change today. Listen to his podcast with Pete Nordsted here Goal Rush Aston Villa v Swansea City Pk Goals 2.5 Villa boss Tim Sherwood said after last weekend that he is willing to die on his sword. He may get his wish if Villa lose this game! The Swans have won three straight meetings of the sides with both games finishing 1-0 last season. Swansea has lost just one of the sides’ eight EPL meetings. I’m tempted by the away team but as its priced at a PK line I’d rather side with the under 2.5 goals. Leicester City v Crystal Palace Leicester City -0.25 Goals 2.5 Palace won both meetings of the sides to nil last season including a 1-0 victory in Leicester back in February. Going against Alan Pardew and his Palace team on the road against non elite teams is fraught with risk. I like Palace plus a quarter and sense this will be another open encounter that Leicester are involved in; Overs! Norwich City v West Bromwich Albion Norwich City -0.5 Goals 2.25 A half goal favourite at home after shipping six goals at St James’ Park is not my idea of a value bet! It’s hard to trust West Brom this season but I will take the Baggies plus a half and just lean to the under on the goal market. Stoke City v Watford Stoke City -0.5 Goals 2.25 This line opened Stoke minus a quarter as the usual zero respect was being shown toward the...

He’s had time to rest a bit amid the international break but our EPL expert James Kempton is on an international break of his own hanging out in Vegas this week so hit him up on twitter to watch a game, he’d be happy to let you buy him a pint! In the meantime, we won’t let him neglect his EPL analysis just because he’s providing his analysis from a different area code. Want more from James Kempton? Read his Weekly Goal Rush column Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool Tottenham -0.25 and 2.5 Jurgen Klopp makes his debut as an EPL manager and he steps into a fixture where Liverpool has had great success recently. Liverpool have won five straight meetings between the sides, scoring at least three times in each compiling a total of eighteen goals. All of these recent trends plus the lift Klopp should bring tells me to back Liverpool plus a quarter. Chelsea v Aston Villa Chelsea -1.5 and 2.75 goals A relegation battle at Stamford Bridge? Chelsea have won six of the last seven EPL meetings but have covered a -1.5 line at home against the Villains only four times in twelve meetings since September 2003. Villa should provide good cannon fodder for a much needed home win but it’s a complete pass for me. Crystal Palace v West Ham United Crystal Palace -0.5 and 2.5 goals The away team in this London derby have won the last three meetings including West Ham’s 3-1 win at Selhurst Park last August. Since October 2011 Palace have lost just that game in the six meetings of the teams. I will take West Ham to get at least a point in this one. Everton v Manchester United Manchester United -0.25 and 2.5 goals...

James Kempton is back with his weekly installment of game capsules for another busy EPL Weekend… Click here to hear their official EPL podcast C Palace v West Brom Palace -0.75 Goals 2.25 I am high on Palace this season under Pardew but I am not keen on laying this extra quarter goal. The line should only be -0.5 so give me a bit more Pulis love this weekend back at his old stomping ground Selhurst Park. Aston Villa v Stoke Villa -0.25 Goals 2.25 The last three meetings of the teams have seen away wins including two wins for Stoke at Villa Park. In fact Stoke are unbeaten in their last five trips to take on Villa. I’d want at least a PK line before I even considered backing Villa. Give me the Potters to keep this away run going in the fixture. Bournemouth v Watford Bournemouth -0.5 Goals 2.5 Both games went under 2.5 goals last season and the Cherries won this match up 2-0. Watford season ticket holders better hope they stay up as the way their home games are going if they don’t stay up then it’ll have been a season of boring football for nothing! Under 2.5 goals or pass here. Man City v Newcastle City -1.75 Goals 3.25 The last five meetings of the sides have been won by City all to nil and they have won the last eleven straight stretching back to January 2009 outscoring Newcastle 32-5. That’s all I need to know for this one… Take City minus the goals. Norwich v Leicester Norwich -0.25 Goals 2.5 My pre season decision to fade Leicester has taken a while to start coming through but finally it seems to be paying off in spades. I like the...

It’s our very own Friday Football tradition around these parts…James Kempton is here to share his take on every single EPL match for the upcoming weekend. Listen to his podcast here Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester City Manchester City -0.5 and 2.75 goals City won this meeting 1-0 back in May but before that the over 2.5 goals had gone on a seven game winning streak in EPL meetings. City have also won four straight meetings and eight of the last nine. This Spurs side look busy and extremely hard working but on days it doesn’t click they struggle to create. I lean to the under and to City getting back to winning ways. Leicester City v Arsenal Arsenal -0.5 and 2.75 goals Leicester continue to over perform and they seem heavily reliant on Mahrez to be creator and finisher in chief. Once his production diminishes they may struggle. These are the games Arsenal tend to get the required result in but I can’t back them here. The goal line looks a little high given the Gunners’ goal scoring issues so if you want to wagers here stick with the away win. Liverpool v Aston Villa Liverpool -1.25 and 2.75 goals Villa won this game 1-0 last season at Anfield and last week Liverpool failed to beat Norwich priced at minus one yet here they are forced to lay an extra goal! It’s a brave or stupid man who takes the Reds here. Only two of the last twelve total meetings of the two sides has seen four or more goals so the risk/reward looks stacked to the under. Give me a piece of the unders as until I see Liverpool go over the total in one of these types of games I won’t believe...

European competition throughout the week gave us a healthy appetizer for the real main course; EPL Round 6. Fortunately Premier League sides have to fair better playing one another they did on the bigger stage. Only Chelsea put together a performance to be proud of dispatching Maccabi Tel Aviv rather easily for Jose. James Kempton is back with his fixture report sharing all the pertinent details on the weekend’s biggest matches. Chelsea v Arsenal PK and 2.75 goals The Community Shield win for Arsenal ended their barren run against the Blues and Mourinho but this is a different encounter. Arsenal have not scored in the last four EPL meetings of the sides or won any of the last seven meetings. Even given the Blues’ crisis, on this Pk line, it’s Chelsea or pass for me. Aston Villa v West Bromwich Albion Aston Villa -0.25 and 2.25 goals The away side has not won any of the last seven EPL meetings of the sides and just one of the last eleven games. Over 2.5 goals has gone 9-3 in the last twelve EPL match ups since September 2008. With the goal line set at just 2.25 I love the over rather than trying to figure out a tricky looking match line. AFC Bournemouth v Sunderland AFC -0.75 and 2.5 goals This line proves that the world has officially gone mad! Sunderland did not play badly last weekend as they lost late at home to Spurs whilst Bournemouth lost comprehensively away to Norwich. I cannot understand how the books have come up with this market line, it’s baffling! Give me Sunderland +0.75 all day long. Newcastle United v Watford Newcastle -0.25 and 2.25 goals The pressure is building at St James’ Park and when will the...

James’ stat packs and gold rush column make for a great handicapping tool. Listen to their official EPL Handicapping podcast Everton v Chelsea Chelsea -0.5 and 2.5 goals Chelsea have won five of the last six meetings of the sides but given current form I cannot back them here. The atmosphere should be red hot given the John Stones transfer saga so there could be plenty of cards on display here. I lean towards the over 2.5 goals here but with no real conviction. Arsenal v Stoke City Arsenal -1.5 and 2.75 goals Arsenal have outscored the Potters 17-3 over the seven EPL meetings at the Emirates but this Stoke side is a different animal compared to the blood and thunder teams of Stoke’s early days. I sense there is a bit of value on the away dog as Hughes will set his side up well for this trip given the extra week of planning he has had. Crystal Palace v Manchester City Man City -0.75 and 2.75 goals Palace won this fixture 2-1 last season and hot off of their win at Stamford Bridge they will be very confident going into this game. With so many players jetting off to all parts of the world on international duty it will be interesting to see how City plays here. No real feel for the match market from me but even with the line at 2.75 I lean heavily to the overs. Norwich...
