Good day fight Enthusiasts. Today’s UFC card offers a smorgasbord of fight delights. Ladies in two different divisions will duke it out, a couple of hammering Heavyweight’s will throw down, four furious flyweight’s will fracas and a couple veteran light heavy’s will look to lower each other’s lights. Here’s what we’ve come up with in tonight’s hunt for hounds from Houston. All fight Analysis courtesy of GambLou All lines courtesy of CRIS at time of post UFC 2015: 71-80-1 + $ 2,001.00 (All GambLou.com UFC releases are understood to be for a standard and hypothetical $100 per position unless otherwise stated. Cariaso’s last two fights against DJ and Henry Cedujo provide him the hunger and solidify his resume to be considered at least on par with the younger, longer Pettis who is stepping way up in competition tonight. We’ll have to see Sergio beat a real MMA fighter before we automatically buy into the hype. Cariaso + 165 (half) Tumenov -270 vs. Jouban +225 Tumenov is an accomplished, well rounded MMA fighter. He will have decent advantage if he can keep this a standing fight. Tumenov’s precision striking, cardio and power are the reasons he is favored in this spot. Jouban though the older fighter will arrive to the Octagon the much taller, larger, thicker fighter tonight. Jouban is taking a step up in class and competition with this fight but we feel his size and power may test the...

James Kempton is back with his weekly installment of game capsules for another busy EPL Weekend… Click here to hear their official EPL podcast C Palace v West Brom Palace -0.75 Goals 2.25 I am high on Palace this season under Pardew but I am not keen on laying this extra quarter goal. The line should only be -0.5 so give me a bit more Pulis love this weekend back at his old stomping ground Selhurst Park. Aston Villa v Stoke Villa -0.25 Goals 2.25 The last three meetings of the teams have seen away wins including two wins for Stoke at Villa Park. In fact Stoke are unbeaten in their last five trips to take on Villa. I’d want at least a PK line before I even considered backing Villa. Give me the Potters to keep this away run going in the fixture. Bournemouth v Watford Bournemouth -0.5 Goals 2.5 Both games went under 2.5 goals last season and the Cherries won this match up 2-0. Watford season ticket holders better hope they stay up as the way their home games are going if they don’t stay up then it’ll have been a season of boring football for nothing! Under 2.5 goals or pass here. Man City v Newcastle City -1.75 Goals 3.25 The last five meetings of the sides have been won by City all to nil and they have won the last eleven straight stretching back to January 2009 outscoring Newcastle 32-5. That’s all I need to know for this one… Take City minus the goals. Norwich v Leicester Norwich -0.25 Goals 2.5 My pre season decision to fade Leicester has taken a while to start coming through but finally it seems to be paying off in spades. I like the...

Big Score

Gamblers are always after the big score. There’s nothing sexy about grinding out small wins for recreational bettors. I saw and witnessed it first hand in the casino business; players with million dollar credit lines didn’t care if they won or lost; they wanted that monumental run giving them a story they could tell their friends and colleagues for years. Over the weekend one sports bettor at Betonline had all his dreams come true with a $250 investment on a 21 team parlay get him back north of $145k!!! Let’s be honest, a lot of us will bet sports for an eternity and never hit an 8 teamer so you have to appreciate a guy that appeased the gambling gods for a magical payday. “If the record-setting beatdown our players handed us wasn’t bad enough, one player capped off his 21-team mostly chalk parlay last night as the Packers money-line was his final leg. His $250 21-teamer cashed for a $145,205 score. I thought, well maybe we were able to get some of that $145K back with a hedge on the Chiefs. Nope, no hedge – he had the balls to let it all ride on Green Bay straight-up,” – Dave Mason from BOL told me on the improbable hit. Let’s just say this isn’t a long term investment strategy I’d suggest for anyone but for one lucky bettor he caught magic in a bottle for one...

EPL Round 7

It’s our very own Friday Football tradition around these parts…James Kempton is here to share his take on every single EPL match for the upcoming weekend. Listen to his podcast here Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester City Manchester City -0.5 and 2.75 goals City won this meeting 1-0 back in May but before that the over 2.5 goals had gone on a seven game winning streak in EPL meetings. City have also won four straight meetings and eight of the last nine. This Spurs side look busy and extremely hard working but on days it doesn’t click they struggle to create. I lean to the under and to City getting back to winning ways. Leicester City v Arsenal Arsenal -0.5 and 2.75 goals Leicester continue to over perform and they seem heavily reliant on Mahrez to be creator and finisher in chief. Once his production diminishes they may struggle. These are the games Arsenal tend to get the required result in but I can’t back them here. The goal line looks a little high given the Gunners’ goal scoring issues so if you want to wagers here stick with the away win. Liverpool v Aston Villa Liverpool -1.25 and 2.75 goals Villa won this game 1-0 last season at Anfield and last week Liverpool failed to beat Norwich priced at minus one yet here they are forced to lay an extra goal! It’s a brave or stupid man who takes the Reds here. Only two of the last twelve total meetings of the two sides has seen four or more goals so the risk/reward looks stacked to the under. Give me a piece of the unders as until I see Liverpool go over the total in one of these types of games I won’t believe...

We talk about it all the time on the Bet the Board podcast; betting the NFL is all about identifying over reactions in the market. No team is ever as good (or bad) as they appeared in their last game meaning lines should only see small tweaks unless there’s a major injury. Here’s a snapshot of what the Week 4 lines would look like were the games to take place this weekend. College football national title futures are on the move… After our first reshuffling of top 10 teams during week 3, the numbers on the big board look a lot different than they did back in August. There’s still plenty of value out there in the market, especially with 1 loss teams still very much in the conversation. Without one truly dominant team (Ohio St can be if they get it together) the other 3 slots are entirely up for grabs providing opportunistic future bettors a chance to lock in a good price or two. 24-Aug 21-Sep Courtesy of Westgate Superbook Ohio St 5-2 7-4 TCU 5 6 Michigan St 18 8 Baylor 15 10 Ole Miss 40 10 LSU 20 12 Georgia 30 12 Alabama 6 20 Clemson 20 20 UCLA 30 20 Texas A&M 100 20 USC 15 25 Notre Dame 18 25 Florida St 30 25 Oklahoma 30 30 Oregon 30 40 Oklahoma St 100 50 Stanford 40 60 Auburn 15 80 Florida 100 100 Tennessee 60 100 Georgia Tech 100 200 Miami FL 200 200 West Virginia 300 200 Utah 300 200 California 500 200 Arizona St 200 300 Wisconsin 100 300 Missouri 200 300 Kansas St 100 300 Arizona 200 300 Iowa 500 300 Michigan 100 500 Boise St 200 500 Field 100 500 Miss St 100 1000 Virginia Tech 100 1000 South Carolina 300 1000 Washington 500 1000 BYU 500 1000 Penn St 300 1000 NC State 500 1000 Kentucky 500 1000 Minnesota 500 2000 Arkansas 40 5000 Texas 200 5000 Nebraska 100 5000 North Carolina 500 5000 Oregon St 500 5000 Louisville 300...

EPL Round 6

European competition throughout the week gave us a healthy appetizer for the real main course; EPL Round 6. Fortunately Premier League sides have to fair better playing one another they did on the bigger stage. Only Chelsea put together a performance to be proud of dispatching Maccabi Tel Aviv rather easily for Jose. James Kempton is back with his fixture report sharing all the pertinent details on the weekend’s biggest matches. Chelsea v Arsenal PK and 2.75 goals The Community Shield win for Arsenal ended their barren run against the Blues and Mourinho but this is a different encounter. Arsenal have not scored in the last four EPL meetings of the sides or won any of the last seven meetings. Even given the Blues’ crisis, on this Pk line, it’s Chelsea or pass for me. Aston Villa v West Bromwich Albion Aston Villa -0.25 and 2.25 goals The away side has not won any of the last seven EPL meetings of the sides and just one of the last eleven games. Over 2.5 goals has gone 9-3 in the last twelve EPL match ups since September 2008. With the goal line set at just 2.25 I love the over rather than trying to figure out a tricky looking match line. AFC Bournemouth v Sunderland AFC -0.75 and 2.5 goals This line proves that the world has officially gone mad! Sunderland did not play badly last weekend as they lost late at home to Spurs whilst Bournemouth lost comprehensively away to Norwich. I cannot understand how the books have come up with this market line, it’s baffling! Give me Sunderland +0.75 all day long. Newcastle United v Watford Newcastle -0.25 and 2.25 goals The pressure is building at St James’ Park and when will the...
