Week 9 MNF Nov09

Week 9 MNF

Another NFL week is nearly complete and the Bet The Board podcast continues to sizzle.  The Tennessee Titans didn’t make it easy on Sunday but when you get an 8 point dog home outright it always makes for a profitable Sunday.  Payne and I had some strong opinions on what we saw over the weekend while also sharing our metrosexual commentary on a must see flick.  Naturally there’s a preview of the Monday Night barnburner between San Diego and Chicago for degenerate nation. EPL Round 12 Nov06

EPL Round 12

It’s not another week in the EPL until you’ve read the complete analysis from our resident handicapper UKBettingPro. Every fixture, every week…right here for your reading pleasure Click here to listen to the EPL podcast Bournemouth v Newcastle United Bournemouth -0.25 and 2.75 goals The Cherries are slowly slipping down the league and a loss here will send them into the relegation zone. Newcastle have scored one goal on the road in five games and taken just one point so it is a brave man who sides with the away team in this tricky looking match up. The under 2.75 goal line is intriguing as the home team have a few attacking injuries and the away team have a limited scoring threat. Leicester City v Watford Leicester -0.75 and 2.75 goals Two teams, who to be honest I was not high on at the beginning of the season, meet here and both look to extend their good runs. I side tentatively with the home team on the match line but at -0.75 I see no real value. You have to consider though that Leicester have won thirteen of their last twenty EPL games and their two losses were only at the hands of Arsenal and Chelsea. A truly incredible run! Manchester United v West Bromwich Albion Manchester United -1.5 and 2.5 goals The Baggies won 1-0 the last time these sides met at Old Trafford back in May (and 2-1 the season before) but I sense it’ll be the other way round this time. United shut Crystal Palace out last Saturday and they weathered a heavy storm to do so. There have only been eight goals scored in five EPL games at Old Trafford this season, just one conceded by the Red Devils. It’s...

It’s simply amazing; you pick your head up and wonder where the football season has gone as we’ve officially reached the midpoint.  Payneinsider is clearly in midseason form, clicking on all cylinders handing out winners to listeners like it’s his job.  As is our Thursday tradition Dave Mason stops by to offer the book’s perspective but the only problem is you can’t quite hear the man from the beaches of Zanzibar.  Give the pod a listen boys and girls…it’ll change your life Listen to it here every week or subscribe on SOUND CLOUD RSS and ITUNES Still looking for an offshore option? EPL Round 11 Oct30

EPL Round 11

Wake up to football with complete fixture analysis from James Kempton Chelsea v Liverpool Chelsea -0.5 and 2.5 goals Chelsea have not lost in seven meetings of the sides including that famous title blow they delivered via Steven Gerrard’s slip. However, they have faired well at Stamford Bridge losing just one of their last five trips to the capital to take on the Blues. This a game to swerve from a betting perspective and just enjoy the circus that will be the ninety seven camera pans to the forlorn figure of Jose Mourinho on the touchline. Crystal Palace v Manchester United Manchester United -0.5  and 2.5 goals Despite all the positivity for Palace under Pardew they have not beaten United since returning to the Premiership two seasons ago. They have only found the net once in those four matches. With United looking more solid last Sunday as they shut out local rivals City, I will take a piece of the unders and lean towards United grinding out a victory Manchester City v Norwich City Manchester City -1.75 and 3.25 goals It was 7-0 last time the Canaries traveled up to the Etihad back in November 2013. I sense City will want to roll Norwich after last weeks derby day stalemate so am happy to lay the minus one and three quarter goals as I see a half win as the worst case scenario. Newcastle United v Stoke City Newcastle -0.25 and 2.25 goals The away side have only won two of the twelve EPL meetings of the sides since December 2008. The last three meets have gone under 2.5 goals but do not be fooled as prior to that the figures were 8-1 to the over! This is another tricky looking fixture but I lean to...

2016 World Series

We’ve yet to crown a 2015 champion between the Royals and Mets but that didn’t stop the Westgate Superbook looking towards the future.  Unlike the past few years where a handful of teams were bunched in the 6-8 range baseball season appears a bit more wide open for finding some value.  Can you be the first to identify the 2016 longshot? 2016 WORLD SERIES DODGERS 8 METS 10 BLUE JAYS 10 CUBS 10 NATIONALS 10 CARDINALS 12 RANGERS 12 ASTROS 12 PIRATES 12 YANKEES 16 RED SOX 18 ROYALS 18 GIANTS 20 ANGELS 20 TIGERS 20 INDIANS 20 MARINERS 30 RAYS 40 ORIOLES 40 WHITE SOX 40 TWINS 40 REDS 60 A’S 60 PADRES 60 DIAMONDBACKS 60 BREWERS 60 MARLINS 60 BRAVES 100 ROCKIES 150 PHILLIES 300 2016 NATIONAL LEAGUE PENNANT DODGERS 7-2 METS 9-2 CUBS 9-2 NATIONALS 9-2 CARDINALS 6 PIRATES 6 GIANTS 10 REDS 30 PADRES 30 DIAMONDBACKS 30 BREWERS 30 MARLINS 30 BRAVES 50 ROCKIES 75 PHILILES 150 2016 AMERICAN LEAGUE PENNANT BLUE JAYS 9-2 RANGERS 6 ASTROS 6 YANKEES 8 RED SOX 9 ROYALS 9 ANGELS 10 TIGERS 10 INDIANS 10 MARINERS 15 RAYS 20 ORIOLES 20 WHITE SOX 20 TWINS 20 A’S...

Fight Night 76 Oct24

Fight Night 76

UFC Fight Night: D’arce chokes in Dublin Fight Analysis provided by Gamblou Welcome fight Enthusiasts to the first fight card in a number of weeks. This slate will highlight immense Irish fight enthusiasm and provide an international flavor even though this it’s lacking in big name recognition and quality ranked fighters. We’ll be unable to watch these fights as our attention will be on Homecoming and the 100 year anniversary of the Greek system at the University of Arizona but that won’t prevent us from grabbing some value on a couple of fights we feel offer us some advantage. Our due diligence was comprehensive for this card even though our dissertation for each choice is somewhat abbreviated since we have to publish this Friday after the weigh-ins rather than Saturday AM which is our usual routine. The lines provided will be the current lines at the time of this writing…. UFC 2015: 71-85-1 + $1,651.00 (All GambLou.com releases are understood to be a standard and hypothetical $100 per position unless otherwise stated. We employ $100 to easily track results as every GambLou.com release is accounted for each Monday AM. Public accounting allows us to display bottom line profitability while providing our readers with 110% disclosure). -Let’s Fight- Daly -110 vs. Almeida -110 Daly is at home fighting in front of her fans and has an experience edge but other than that we feel she is quite limited as an MMA artist. Her opponent Almeida will be the taller, larger, younger fighter in this bout and she’ll also sport a 4” reach advantage. While Almeida is lacking in some stand up prowess we do feel her ground game will be far superior to the home town lass and she is an improving fighter. This is...

EPL Round 10 Oct23

EPL Round 10

Fresh off his own international break and lengthy sojourn to Vegas Jimmy is back on native land sharing EPL Round 10 wisdom with everybody.  If you’re not already following him on twitter for all his soccer knowledge across all leagues that can change today. Listen to his podcast with Pete Nordsted here Goal Rush Aston Villa v Swansea City Pk Goals 2.5 Villa boss Tim Sherwood said after last weekend that he is willing to die on his sword. He may get his wish if Villa lose this game! The Swans have won three straight meetings of the sides with both games finishing 1-0 last season.  Swansea has lost just one of the sides’ eight EPL meetings. I’m tempted by the away team but as its priced at a PK line I’d rather side with the under 2.5 goals. Leicester City v Crystal Palace Leicester City -0.25 Goals 2.5 Palace won both meetings of the sides to nil last season including a 1-0 victory in Leicester back in February. Going against Alan Pardew and his Palace team on the road against non elite teams is fraught with risk. I like Palace plus a quarter and sense this will be another open encounter that Leicester are involved in; Overs! Norwich City v West Bromwich Albion Norwich City -0.5 Goals 2.25 A half goal favourite at home after shipping six goals at St James’ Park is not my idea of a value bet! It’s hard to trust West Brom this season but I will take the Baggies plus a half and just lean to the under on the goal market. Stoke City v Watford Stoke City -0.5 Goals 2.25 This line opened Stoke minus a quarter as the usual zero respect was being shown toward the...
