-Let’s Fight-
Sarafian -155 vs. Bamgbose +145
Sarafian has been off for over a year and gives away length, size, and speed to the younger and more explosive underdog. We feel mucho improvement is coming from Oluwale off his last fight (his first in the UFC). Bounce time
Bamgbose +145 (half)
Bermudez -345 vs. Kawajiri +315
Dennis Bermudez is an excellent wrestler with decent power and super cardio however the one thing all those tremendous features do not make up for is a porcelain beak. When hit on the point Bermudez busts. Kawajiri enters the longer, taller guy which for Bermudez is nothing new but the feeling here is that Kawajiri can compete with Dennis anywhere this fight goes. Moreover we feel that Kawajiri may in fact try to drag Dennis to the mat and maul him from top position. Both men enter in desperation mode yet while this fight appears to be a set up for Bermudez we feel quite otherwise.
Kawajiri +315 (half)
Garbrandt -345 vs. Mendes +315
Cody Garbrandt is a talented well rounded MMA fighter that has more improvements to make on the mat than standing. He’ll enter this one after a late fighter switch that now pits him against a world class grappler/Jiu-Jitsu professional as opposed to a fierce, standing, immobile slugging machine. Quite a difference in styles indeed. While we feel the short notice for Mendes is the reason for the 142lb. catch weight, we also feel Mendes is a most dangerous opponent in this spot for Cody. If this fight goes to the floor and at one time or another in an MMA match they usually do, then we’ll watch Mendes in his best environment. If this fight stays standing then Mendes will have his work cut out for him as he does give away expertise, quickness and precision in his stand up weaponry.
Mendes +315 (half)
Brunson -380 vs. Carneiro +340
Brunson has all the pressure to win with little upside in this most dangerous spot. Carneiro on the other hand has a clear understanding of his role as mangy mutt in this fight. The Brazilian fighter is keenly aware that his future is decided by this bout. He arrives in desperation mode and knows he must get this bigger more athletic man to the mat in order for him to have any chance in this fight. Brunson’s wrestling, and his past competition make him a worthy chalk but worthy to us is more like -240. The current price of +340 for a guy we feel will offer his best and has been on a roll present’s value and we’ll take every dime of it we can….watch this one as the fight approaches and get every penny you can.
Carneiro +340 (half)
Cerrone -275 vs. Oliveira +250
Cowboy Cerrone takes on Cowboy Oliveira in what we feel is going to be a classic war. Cerrone will be the more polished fighter, he’ll strike with more precision, will sport more skill almost everywhere than his Brazilian counterpart and he’ll own the experience edge. Cerrone arrives with all the fan awareness, a slight height advantage and a well-earned reputation as a professional mixed martial artist. That all said it’s our judgement that Oliveira is one live Labrador tonight. It is in fact Cerrone who enters this fight off of a devastating TKO loss to RDA just weeks ago. In that fight and others preceding it there has been a pattern of the American Cowboy crumbling under a controlled body attack. Also, Cerrone is moving up in weight while Oliveira is a natural Welterweight who will welcome Cerrone with heavy hands, a 6’ reach advantage (arms) and a 3’ reach advantage with his legs. The leg advantage to us is a key to this fight for we’re sold on the fact that it will be Oliveira’s leg attack to the side of Cerrone that gives him the opportunity to overcome all the skills Cerrone sports with brute power, focused determination and a furious heavy handed approach. Oliveira’s mental grit will be a determining factor tonight as he welcomes Cerrone to the 170lb weight division.
El Vaquero Oliveira +250
