Welcome Gamblou

I wanted to take this chance to introduce to all of you one of our newest contributors to the site. Gamblou has written extensively on UFC gambling around the net for a while now and when he approached me about contributing to the site I couldn’t say no.  Rather than having me paraphrase his philosophies he wanted to write an introductory letter of sorts sharing his philosophies on betting MMA.

Welcome fight Enthusiasts to GambLou.com and our new shared access with ToddsTakes.com. We want to thank Todd for allowing us to post our UFC  insight on his outstanding gaming website.   We are honored to be contributors. We’ll be posting all of our UFC blogs (as well as select other gaming intelligence) as early as Saturday March 14th for UFC 185.
We would like to set any new readers up with the basic blueprint by which we at GambLou.com operate so there may be as much understanding of our methods as possible before we dive headfirst into this exciting endeavor.

*The single point of focus of GambLou.com is Profitable Sports Gaming. Depositing profit after each week’s opinions is our single point of empahsis for we conduct our gaming strictly as a business. The fulcrums to Profitable Sports Gaming are threefold: dynamic Due Diligence; supreme Selectivity, and precision Money Management. Any profitable business thriving today has had to conduct appropriate research, remain selective in its approach to the market it competes in and account regularly for every penny of investment, labor and loss; We are no different.

*Every position we share is something we (have played)ourselves! This is most important for what we attempt to do is display how to become apt at running one’s own bankroll as a business. Our career in Profitable Sports Gaming exceeds 38 years and our goal is to teach and encourage so that any readers may not have to spend 38 years turning a hobby into a profitable endeavor. By reading our blogs readers will be exposed to the positions we take, the money management system we utilize, and the public accounting we perform to display that we (over the long haul) bank bottom line.

*We’ve spent years testing our methods and we usually invest in underdogs. This is no absolute rule but we do find value in unwanted mangy mongrels that many choose to (for whatever reason) overlook and/or undervalue. If we can derive value from a chalk position make no mistake that we will work that favorite for we will absolutely lay -1000 that the sun will come up tomorrow! Other than that we will need to have compelling reason to lay the juice rather than to take the dog.

*For purposes of accounting we utilize one standard amount per position which is $100.00 dollars (unless otherwise stated). Our own personal positions are usually for more than the standard $100.00 but this is not the point for one reader may utilize $100.00 per position another may choose to employ $20.00 per play and others may choose to use $1000.00. What does matter is that YOUR wagers  effectively coincide with your financial means.  The point is that the standard$100.00 is easy for us to work with each Monday morning when we account for weekly bottom line results.

*Our delight is derived in deposits, not in the placing of any particular position. New readers will notice that we post few positions.  The positions we do submit have been researched in comprehensive fashion. Also please understand that while we do fancy money line underdogs in sports like the UFC (we are also quite active in Hockey Playoffs, College World Series, Hardball Playoffs and the NFL) the fact remains that we do not win each and every selection, we’re not fortune tellers!

For the record thus far in 2015 we stand 17-17 + $560.00 in the UFC. One look at that result and it’s easy to understand that we depend on live dogs as well we do not win every position we release. Our goal is to deposit profit each Monday morning and it’s also our goal to display this to readers through the rest of 2015 as we work the UFC on ToddsTake.com. Just as businesses must pay the rent, account for payroll and manage cash flows, we do have weeks where we are unable to make deposits. This is a business reality and on the few weeks we are unable to deposit profit one can be certain that we’ll have done all we can to minimize exposure to loss (as well account for any loss on our Monday blog) for this is strictly a business we are running.

*Lastly we encourage comment, questions and critique. We welcome professional polite communication whether it be through e mail (Gamblou@gmail.com or Twitter @GambLou). We strive to respond to everyone who reaches out to us for we are here to encourage the legitimate and ethical practice of Profitable Sports Gaming.

For too long the sports gaming industry has been mired in the illegitimate veil of ‘Bury your man’ and ‘100 star lock of the year’.  We can disclose with honesty that running a Profitable Sports Gaming business takes blood, sweat, and tears.   We aim to display just one of the many ways for a professional to profit in sports gaming. In the past 38 years we’ve acquired a ‘gaming intuition’ that we refer to as a ‘gut feel’. ‘Gut feel’ cannot be purchased or given….it must be earned and acquired and we sport the battle scars to prove it.  We are here to share that feel with all interested readers.
